Created and designed logos, the company website, marketing materials (business cards, fliers, email campaigns), etc. Managed qualifications-based marketing efforts, responded to RFPâs, designed and copy-edited proposals and Statements of Qualifications for private and public solicitations. Was also responsible for managing all financial aspects of the business: prepared payroll, managed invoicing on all projects, processed accounts payables and receivables, closed out projects and collected unpaid fees.

Hired on as Graphic Designer for newspaper redesign, I earned two promotions within six months after rebranding the newspapers. I was responsible for designing and laying out two community weekly newspapers, multiple monthly publications, all promotional and marketing materials as well as print/web advertisements. I utilized programs daily such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Word. Here at Observer Newspapers I learned the real importance of prioritizing while multi-tasking and attention to detail.
Initially responsible for processing photo orders, I was promoted to graphic designer where I designed ads, large scale banners, promotional materials/multiple page proposals for clients. I prepared the setup of cameras and photographed hundreds of graduates at any given graduation ceremony. When off-site, I uploaded, scanned and transmitted information cards and images digitally to our Tallahassee office--making it possible to send the appropriate proofs to graduatesâ e-mail accounts in record turnaround time.
